But first, my name is Marcie Vaske and I'm a licensed nutritionist with Flusso Nutrients at Flusso Nutrients. We really work hard to educate you on a variety of supplements so that you can make the best choice for yourself.

Now, it's always best to speak with a supplement literate practitioner to be sure that the supplements you choose are not contraindicated with any medications that you're taking, as well as any other supplements that you're taking.

Let's dig back into our topic of joint pain relief supplements.

Now, so many people have joint pain and you might be one of 'em.

And so if you are tired of taking the conventional type of pain relief products out there, supplements may be a very good way for you to go. Now to begin,

What are some of the common causes of joint pain?

And one of them is osteoarthritis.

And osteoarthritis can be caused from overuse of a joint for many years or even from an injury.

This is where the cartilage that cushions our joint really deteriorates, and then we begin to have more bone on bone connection.

There's also rheumatoid arthritis, which is an autoimmune disease that affects our joints causing a lot of inflammation around the joint and a lot of pain.

And of course there's aging.

And as we age, we've put our body through a lot of things, and this is where we'll just have kind of a breakdown of just some of our joints from overuse and kind of this aging process that happens within the body, creating more stiffness.

And there's also, obesity is a common cause of joint pain.

With the excess weight upon our joints, we increase the rate of deterioration around the joint, creating more pain, more stiffness, and more aches.

So oftentimes those of us who have any kind of joint pain or stiffness, we might quickly grab the bottle of ibuprofen or acetaphetamine and help reduce some of that inflammation.

But along with those conventional routes of pain relief, there does come some side effects.

And of those things can look like just stomach discomfort. Your stomach can get more inflamed and with some gut issues can also cause other symptoms that we don't want as well within our body.

And the number one thing about grabbing that ibuprofen or acetaphetamine is that it's treating a symptom and not really getting to the root cause, which getting to the root cause is going to give us a more long-term stability and maintenance with our pain.

So this is where joint pain relief supplements can really come into play as they help to kind of give us a bandaid effect, meaning that it can help in the interim of us getting to a better joint, just having healthier joints.

And instead of covering up the masking the symptom, we're actually doing something for our joints to make them stronger and healthier.

These joint pain supplements really help to support the joint, as I said, and they come in kind of a combination of natural ingredients that help support and heal and make it stronger.

And so let's just run through some,

Joint Pain Natural Supplements

I'm going to run through several of them, and it doesn't mean that every single one needs to be in one supplement. Sometimes they come in a synergistic form and sometimes they're okay to just take by themselves.

So first, there's a couple that I'm going to list that are oftentimes found in the same supplement, and one of them is glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate.

You might see this as glucosamine chondroitin, which has been found to be very helpful to support joint pain. I have several clients that do take glucosamine chondroitin and have found that their joints just feel better, less inflamed, and they can move better, less stiffness.

Now, one of my favorite ones is PRM Resolve, and this product is made by NutriDyn, but there are other products out there.

And what this does is it's a specialized, it's a pro resolving mediator, which helps to encourage specialized pro resolving mediators within the body.

So this is a very specific one, but it can really support a decrease in inflammation within our joints. It can also help support tissue remodeling.

And so we just get not only a bandaid effect because it helps to support that inflammation, but it also helps to encourage tissue remodeling.

PRMs also help to decrease or promote, I guess I should say, a healthy response to physical stress. And so you can keep doing the things you want to do, but you'll be able to feel a lot better and without a lot of achy pain and stiffness.

Now, another one that you've probably heard about quite often, and we have talked about it on this channel before, is turmeric or curcumin.

And curcumin is a herb that's been around four thousands of years and used as an anti-inflammatory herb.

Curcumin is known to relieve some exercise soreness or just soreness in the muscle tissue as well as joint discomfort. It's a powerful antioxidant and therefore an anti-inflammatory.

So curcumin is another one that you might want to be looking out for as a helpful joint pain relief supplement.

And there's also collagen. Collagen is another great supplement to help support joint tissue.

It can help reduce inflammation and support just kind of the tissues around our joints. So it's more of a support for healing and keeping things healthy versus a lot of anti-inflammatory.

But sometimes it's even mixed in or in a synergistic effect with other supplements.

But you can easily take collagen on your own to support your joints, to support healthy bone, healthy nails, healthy hair, healthy skin. So collagen is just kind of an all around great product to help support a lot of this.

But if you're having joint pain, this is definitely one you might want to put in. And other supplements that you might see in a variety of brands or even just altogether would be MSM.

Sometimes you'll see that glucosamine chondroitin, those two together.

Along with MSM, you'll also see vitamin C as a really strong antioxidant, which can then help reduce inflammation.

And so you'll see that in some of these formulas as well as zinc.

We know that zinc is a fantastic tissue healer and can really support an immune response as well. So depending on what kind of joint pain you're having or what really the root cause of it is can help you choose a better joint pain relief supplement.

So the benefits of using supplements for your joint pain is going to be all the things I talked about initially, which is it's going to really get more to the root cause versus just covering up a symptom and while it will help with the symptom.

And then initially it's nice to know that you're also working underneath it as well. In addition, I think that supplements are going to have less side effects to no side effects.

So using natural ingredients, the body can respond to it better and therefore keeping the rest of your systems healthy while you're also supporting some pain.

How can you incorporate these joint pain supplements into your daily routine?

And number one, establish a routine. I think the biggest thing with supplements and even medications if you're taking them, is sometimes people just aren't very consistent, and consistency is really key when it comes to supplements.

It can take with supplements, you have to be oftentimes patient to see the result.

It can take weeks to even a couple months for you to feel and see this result happening, but know that it will if you're consistent.

In addition, make other lifestyle changes by changing your diet and make sure you're taking out the toxic inflammatory foods like processed and packaged foods, damaged fats, high fructose corn syrup, and instead putting in healthy foods such as good proteins and good carbohydrates.

The vegetables, the fruits, and the healthy fats. Healthy fats are going to be key for keeping your joints healthy.

So in addition to that, also getting some exercise.

Make sure you're moving your joints if you just sit for too long or you're sedentary joints can become very stiff.

Our muscles get very stiff in certain positions and therefore we're just not feeling good. So keep moving.

And even though it might feel a little uncomfortable at first, obviously if you're having pain, you need to stop, but if you can work through it, keep moving, go for walks, if it's just good to keep those joints lubricated and moving.

And of course with getting in a good diet and moving and taking some joint pain relief supplements, also making sure you're getting adequate rest and recovery, making sure that you're sleeping and if you are hurt, don't start doing things too soon.

That's one thing that happens a lot is that we're starting to feel a little bit better and then we're like, well, I think I'll just go for a run or a walk, or whatever it might be, and you'll end up hurting it again.

So make sure that you're really giving yourself time to heal.

So using joint pain relief supplements can be super supportive.

Getting rid of or taking out some of those conventional pain relief substances such as ibuprofen and acetyl, and helping you to just live your body, live a healthier, happier life.

I will link the three main supplements that I talked about down below where you can take a look at 'em, click on them, they'll be there for you to use any time and see if they're going to be right for you.

Making a choice based on what your symptoms are and how they are presenting, as well as what might be the underlying cause can help you make a better decision.

And so I hope that was helpful today, and thanks for watching.
